No surprise here - "The UK has dropped to its lowest ever score in Transparency International's Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI)"
When you have: just a few examples
- the Department of Business and Trade firing staff for directly taking bribes,
- refusing to investigate "Baron" Moynihan for money he and others refuse to repay to Charity and then stuff him in the Lords after he pays yet more money to the Tory party and strikes off his company
- FCA, DBT and Police refusing to investigate bribes paid by Abion Capital Group llp members to employees of ABRDN to induce them to accept the offload of Albion VCT shares in Quantexa to Hampshire County Council Pension Fund at a discount.
- ICAEW conspiring with KPMG to deliberately falsify the Register of Statutory Auditors over more than 500 members
- the Official Reciever for Cambridge firing his deputy for taking bribes in the appointment of liquidators
- A Judge of the High Court, Stephen Baister, stating in public, in front of a Director of the Insolvency Service and 100+ others, that "we always try to favour Licensensed Insolvency Practitioners" confirming the improper judicial bias and corruption we all know to exist
- The Judicial Conduct Investigation Office refusing to interview the Director of the Insolvency Service, Mrs Frances Coulson, who wrote confirming the Judge's statements and refusing to obtain and review the Video recording of the Judge's statements
and yesterday's announcement that the Global Regulators are to investigate Private Equity takeover of audit practices ("trebles all round at BDO")
and you wonder why anyone would ever do business in the UK if they want to rely on honesty and integrity of anyone regulated by ICAEW or the FCA.
... as for the state of compliance with statute law and Companies House records, the Solicitors Regulation Authority (9 weeks to "open the post") etc etc the less said the better.
